Swiss-born DJ/producer, MIRKO LOKO, is making his Los Angeles debut after sweeping fanatical kudos at this years WMC. Dispensing sounds that take shape at an invigorating intersection between Detroit-inspired techno and the subtle stripped-down side of house. As a DJ, he’s played Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Miami WMC, Circoloco in Ibiza, Sven Väth’s Cocoon Club in Frankfurt and the best clubs in Berlin, while recent productions include an EP on Loco Dice’s Desolat imprint and a solo album on Luciano’s Cadenza. Repeat offender and mobilee label founder RALF KOLLMANN returns to LA for his first proper summer spin riding in the wake of last month’s killer showing by label wunderkinds Pan Pot and Sebo K. Founded in 2005 by Kollmann and super fly dj/producer Anja Schneider, this summer starts the kick off of the mobilee 5 year anniversary tour. With a roster of acts that reads like a who’s who of the best of the best: Anja Schnieder, Pan Pot, Sebo K, Dan Curtin, Marcin Czubala, Exercise One and And.Id it’s no wonder the label is such a staple for our eager ears. The last year has seen Kollmann globetrotting from one continent to the next with stops in Dubai, South Africa, Switzerland, New York, Miami, the UK…you name it. His passport stamps are almost as varied as the music he spins, from super secret promos we’ll still be waiting months to hear again to stone cold classics, as well as a healthy dose of his own labels funky, sexy cuts.
